Ultraviolet radiation is divided into three regions: UV-A (315–400 nm), UV-B (280–315 nm), and UV-C (100–280 nm).
Entoquip lights emit long-wave UV-A light in the 365–395 nm range, which is naturally present in outdoor daylight.
The emitted intensity from Entoquip lights is lower than direct daytime sunlight and is well within established safety limits when used as intended for field observation and research.
As with any bright light source, users should avoid looking directly at the LEDs. UV-A–filtering eyewear may be used to reduce eye fatigue during prolonged use.
