We are an entomology supply company located in southeast Arizona in a biodiversity hotspot among the beautiful Huachuca Mountains and nestled within the Chihuahuan and Sonoran Deserts and grasslands. With the Chiricahua, Santa Rita, and other Sky Island mountain ranges all easily accessible, this region is a favorite annual pilgrimage for insect enthusiasts, birdwatchers, and other naturalists from around the world.
We established entoquip at the end of 2022 after BioQuip, the predominant entomological supply company in the U.S. for the last 50 years, closed. When they shut their doors, most of the supplies that we entomologists and naturalists took for granted and thought would always be available, were gone! Our first goal was to develop a new and better blacklight, taking advantage of the rapidly developing LED technology and all of its advantages over existing UV lights.
After much testing and refining we created our first product, the entolight, a cutting edge UV – LED tool that is superior to anything on the market. It is long-lasting, waterproof, lightweight, durable, compact, and energy efficient and will bring years of enjoyment as you engage in your nighttime arthropod studies.
